Last Weekend to Stream Downton Abbey: Season 3 Online for Free

It's been nearly two weeks since we saw the last episode of Downton Abbey's third season premiere on PBS. Since then, we've been able to watch and re-watch it online for free at PBS' streaming video site. Well, that's about to end.

This is the last weekend that every episode of Downton Abbey: Season 3will be available online at PBS Video. U.S.-based fans have through this Sunday, 3 March, to watch them gratis.

Between 4 March and 17 June 2013, stateside Downton fans will be able to stream them at Amazon Instant Videoand vudu.com,and starting 18 June, at Amazon only due to its exclusivity deal.

That deal extends to the rest of Downton later this year, when Amazon will be the only subscription streaming service in the U.S. to offer Season 1,Season 2,and Season 3,plus Season 4 after it premieres on PBS (most likely in early 2014) and Season 5 (if it is produced).

Of course, you can rent the DVDs from Netflix if you have the DVD subscription, just not stream any episodes beyond Season 1 and not even these beginning 18 June.

So get it while the getting's good and get your Downton streaming on at PBS Video.
