As we prepare to close out 2012 and ring in a fabulous 2013, let's continue the holiday festivities with some fabulous British TV shows.
For those who missed the
Doctor Who Christmas special,
The Snowmen,"

this past Tuesday, as well as for those who just want to watch it again (and again), you have a couple of options.
BBC America is re-airing it tomorrow, Saturday, 29 December, at 9PM Eastern and again at 2AM Sunday morning.
If you won't be in front of the television at either time and don't have a way to record it, then head over to Amazon Instant Video, where you can watch "The Snowmen" and all of the other episodes from
Doctor Who Seasons 1 through 7.1,

including the previous Christmas specials "The Christmas Invasion" (2005), "The Runaway Bride" (2006), "Voyage of the Damned" (2007), "The Next Doctor" (2008), "
The End of Time"

(2009), "
Doctor Who: A Christmas Carol"

(2010), and "
The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe"

(2011).
Netflix also has Seasons 1-6 and most of the specials for streaming.
On Sunday, 30 December, PBS brings us the
Call the Midwife holiday special at 7:30PM. (Check your local listings.) Jenny Lee (Jessica Raine) and Chummy (Miranda Hart) have their hands full as they spend their first Christmas at Nonnatus House. Jenny tries to find the children of a local elderly vagrant woman and Chummy tries to put on a children's nativity play, all while they and the nuns and midwives care for an abandoned newborn and search for its mother.
Amazon Instant Video has all episodes of
Call the Midwife: Season 1
available for streaming, if you'd like to watch them before the holiday special airs.
Over at
Acorn TV, it's the last weekend to catch a few shows before they move off the programming schedule, including
Most Mysterious Christmas Specials,
Northern Lights,
Touching Evil: Series 3,

and
Above Suspicion: Set 1.
The Acorn TV free 14-day trial is still going on, so if you fancy doing a marathon of the top-notch
Above Suspicion crime drama, you can, and for free.
Above Suspicion: Set 2
was just added to Acorn's schedule.
Looking ahead to next week...
At 8AM on Monday, 31 December, BBC America begins ringing in the new year with a David Tennant Fourth Doctor
Doctor Who marathon, featuring the
Season 4
episodes "The Poison Sky," "The Doctor's Daughter," "The Unicorn and the Wasp," "Silence in the Library," "Forest of the Dead," "Midnight," "Turn Left," "The Stolen Earth," and "Journey's End," and the specials "The Next Doctor," "
Planet of the Dead"

(Easter 2009), "
The Waters of Mars"

(Autumn 2009) and "The End of Time."
Then on New Year's Day, BBC America gives anyone with a hangover (or not) the Brit TV version of the hair of the dog: a marathon of episodes from
The Tudors.
Have a fab weekend!
